On Sunday we drove up to Paraparaumu for a beach walk, sunshine and some sea air. I think it must have been a year since we were up there, yet it is only about a 50 minute drive. Anyway, below you can see Kapiti Island, which is now a nature reserve, and Karl taking a stroll.
There are always interesting things to find on the beach from a fish skeleton, to branches to something that I don’t really know what it is.

There was also this tree trunk section with amazing blue, orange and red colouring, and the fun graffiti ‘wouldy’. If I could sketch, I would lov to do one of this.
There were dogs and people enjoying the beach, some were fishing, others just breathing in the sea air. A day to refresh and clear out 2025 to make room for the adventures to come in 2026.

A perfect day for a beach walk, and aren’t we all lucky to have nice things to look forward to.

I enjoy seeing what sort of things have washed up on a beach 🙂

We did something very similar yesterday, but ours was much closer to home. A great way to get rid of the cobwebs. Wish I could sketch, too xx

Nothing like a good beach walk to clear the cobwebs
