If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would be enjoying still slightly warm freshly baked scones with strawberry jam and mugs of Earl Grey tea.
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea we would talk about what we have done in the past month and if we feel we are on track to achieve our goals of the year. I say some things are pretty much on track like ‘low buy 2022’, but others haven’t even got off the ground. You say you are the same and we decide to try to motivate each other to achieve at least a little more of our goals.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would talk about the weather today, how it started misty and damp and turned into a lovely sunny afternoon. You say everything looked so pretty this morning covered in little raindrops, you say you thought things looked better in the sun and we laugh.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea on this sunny afternoon you would ask me what I did today. I say I went into town for lunch at Floriditas where I enjoyed the green eggs and ham. I bought some peanut butter from the Fix and Fogg window – my favourite Everything Butter and also their Granola Butter for a change. I then went for a post lunch visit to the cinema to see the documentary about Helmut Newton Helmut Newton: The Bad & The Beautiful which I found really interesting. You say you emptied out and cleaned all the kitchen cupboards. I say….I probably should do that too but lunch and the cinema is much more fun, and you agree.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would look at the clock. The same procedure as last time…the same procedure every time…you stay for dinner and a glass of wine.

Funnily enough, I had a friend round for morning coffee today – with freshly baked cheese scones 🙂 I love the droplets captured in the spider web.

Your writing is so lyrical, even hypnotic. I love these features and the photos of your fine baking. I truly feel like I had a cup of tea with you. (And I adore the spiderweb photo.)

Well your misty damp weather is matching ours in Canberra, but I always think scones need to be eaten in cold weather, they are such comfort food!

Those scones or biscuits looked so inviting. I wanted to take one, sit down and have a cup of tea or coffee. I like cinnamon apple herbal tea or caramel-chocolate or raspberry coffee. Thanks for stopping by my blog. You have a lovely place here. What kind of work do you do? Marsha @ Always Write.
