There are so many interesting doors in the part of Stockholm we are living in at the moment, that I thought I should do a post featuring them and enter my first Thursday Doors post. Thanks to Dan Antoin for hosting this theme which I have been reading about and looking at on others’ posts for years.
The first two are on the same street and are next door neighbours. Each door is completely different which I really like.

The entrance inside this building had a large chandelier and The sign on the left lets us know that the building was home to the first permanent home to a puppet theatre.

The door on the left, which I also used for the featured image at the top of the post, makes me wonder what the entrance hall is like for this building. On the right, another impressive door next to a cafe I really like (it’s door is around the corner).

Next a door with a rather stern face looking down at us as we stand outside, and a more cheerful door from 1901 next to an antique store.

Finally, the door to the apartment block we are staying in, and a close up of the flowers outside to welcome all who enter the building.

That is a fine collection of doors. For me, the door to home, or where I am staying, is always the best one.

The variety and individualism of what you have shown leads to a welcome charm of the oft quite ‘serious’ buildings.

Barbara, these are wonderful photos. We don’t see ornate doors like these anywhere in Central California. It’s been a pleasure to walk with you. 🙂 xxx
