If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…you would ask me how things were going in Stockholm. I say we have been busy and having a great time, you say, oh good. April was a month of two cities, Hamburg and Stockholm. You say technically three, because aren’t you going to Copenhagen tomorrow? And you laugh.
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…you would ask about the area we are living in, Vasastan. I say it is great with shops and cafes a plenty, public transport nearby, and a dog park close by. You say oh that is fun.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…I would say there is a fun freeze in the entrance hall of the building we are staying in…you say oh yes animals and people chasing each other…
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…I would say that I have noticed signs like those below reminding people there is more to life than technology. That there are cafes that have computer free tables, especially at weekends, with areas you can work. You say that is interesting.

If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…we would talk about all the great cafes there are close by such as Haga Bageri and Systrarna Andersson where I had lunch today (klassiska räksmörgås – rye bread with egg and prawn). You say that looks excellent and I say it was.
If we were having coffee…or even a cup of tea…I would say I am sorry I can’t invite you to dinner as you are just too far away, but I hope you have a good day ahead and that we will chat soon. You say yes!

That’s an abundance of prawns on your plate – how delicious. You’ve settled in nicely in your new neighbourhood.

That lunch looks amazing! I will have to trust you that those signs say no cell phones here. I thought the outside one said “danger idiots looking at phones and not watching where they are going”. 🤔

The outdoor sign is encouraging you not to be stuck to your mobile phone in a play park. The indoor one refers to laptops.

Vasastan is an excellent choice for a visit. Stockholm is one of my favourite cities in the world, next to Gothenburg, San Francisco, and Trondheim. They are all my favourites due to how green they are, in combination with the close proximity to amazing nature.

We are enjoying this location. Most of the family is in Södermalm, so good to get to know another part of town. Stockholm is one of my favourite cities too.
