It has been such a wet and windy day today, but not at all cold. One of those days where you think you need your big waterproof, and then regret it. Anyway, another Saturday with no action outdoors. Luckily I got a few photos on sunnier days during the week, and have ‘topped up’ with a couple of interior shots. Thanks to Jim at Garden Ruminations, for hosting Six on Saturday whose knowledge of all things plants and gardening makes him an ideal host.
We’ll start with something pink and the ‘everlasting camellias’ at the front of the house. If you lean out of the spare room window you can almost touch the ones at the top of the bush. Well, not really, but when you are sitting working at home, your mind turns to thoughts like this….

At number two. I got some seeds in the post – more nasturtiums of course, some viola and inspired by SOSers, some cosmos. I also got some sprouting seeds. Now to see if I actually have any jars that fit the lids.

On seeds, there are the first signs of some new nasturtiums from some seeds I had around. I’m hoping for another good display, pickling the seeds and nibbling the petals. Fingers crossed!

Back indoors as it was just too wet to go outside to take any more photos, so here are two of the cacti instead. The top one is a most fantastic shape, and the other one is exhibiting its new, spring growth. My mum and brother were both big cacti owners, and while I had lots when I lived in the UK, I haven’t picked up so many here. Maybe it is time for a few more!
I know I featured lavender last week, but it really is looking so good, not just in our garden but all over our neighbourhood.

Finally, another pink flower, also in the featured image at the top of the post, the rhododendron

That’s all from me folks for this week. As usual, I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s beautiful gardens in other parts of the world. Hope you are all well and enjoying your gardens in whatever the season is with you.
