So here we are again with this week’s round up of small pleasures. It really is beginning to feel…and look like spring. There are daffodils aplenty, the signs of tulips and magnolia blossom popping up.

Morning skies
There have been some really beautiful skies in the past couple of weeks. Here is one from Friday, seen on the way to work.

Signs of Spring

Burger Wellington – Wellington on a Plate
On Sunday, we had our first taste of Wellington on a Plate, with a burger at Basque. The Who Killed Ferdinand? burger was a Panko-crumbed beef, chorizo, paprika and orange patty, topped with Iberico cheese, a mango and saffron salsa and caramelised Spanish jamón, served with patatas bravas. Very good it was too. We then headed over to the Embassy cinema to see the last film on the film festival, a Polish film, Cold War. Filmed in black and white, it is an emotional rollercoaster of a film, and well worth seeing.

Thanks to Mani over at A New Life Wandering for the original idea.
