Actually, to be accurate, the whole week was a small pleasure. We were in Singapore as you may have seen from the last two posts (here and here), but here is a quick summary of some other small pleasures this week.
Karl’s birthday
We spent the day at Singapore Zoo (next post!), enjoyed a really delicious chocolate cake delivered to the room by the hotel that had spotted it was his birthday. What a special treat! We still had room for a curry too.

More sweet treats
On our last day, after a lot of walking around I thought I deserved this little fruit tart, with raspberries, blackberries and a physalis on the top. It was so good with a pot of Earl Grey tea.

Dumplings
The dimsum table at the Silver Kris Lounge at Singapore airport. I kept going back for more.

Being on holiday

Being home

Making new family connections
When I was on holiday, I received a lovely surprise email from a long lost relative who is investigating the family tree. It has been such fun catching up and guessing who is who in old family pictures, and piecing together a picture of the family. A real small pleasure.
Thanks to Mani over at A New Life Wandering for the original idea.

Yumminess and prettiness! I’m so glad you’re keeping up with this. I always felt good after writing these posts but I’ve been having a too hard time to find the time!
