It is that time for a round up of recent reading. I made up for a lack of detective fiction last month at least as you will see below, but didn’t read any Japanese books (though I just started one on Thursday morning at least!). A bit of a brief post as rather busy at the moment, but I always make time to read.

It has been a busy week at work, and then I got a really sore throat, meaning I took to my bed on Friday afternoon for a two hour nap. This seemed to do the trick, what with that and a weekend of sunshine. I am counting the days until I finish up for the summer holidays…

Today is the Labour Day holiday here in New Zealand, so, as is the tradition of such days, the weather is ghastly. As I type this evening, the rain is pouring down, and I dare not even run out for a spot of parsley.

I’m writing this on Wednesday evening, NZ time. There is no wind, the skies are clear if getting dark. You wouldn’t know a weather Red Warning is in place for tomorrow, covering the east coast of the South Island, including Christchurch, up to north of Wellington.
