Inspired by Jude’s Bench Challenge, here are some benches spotted on my lunch time walk today in Wellington’s CBD.
1. A bench by a bus stop…in case there is a long wait.

2. On the way to the library on Brandon Street

3. A fancier one with arms in Post Office Square

4. A controversial bench…this one is one of three that used to sit under the awning outside the shops, but the new owners felt they disrupted the frontage and now they sit outside, no longer offering a dry place to sit on a rainy day while waiting for a bus.

5. Finally, the benches in Midland Park, a favourite place to sit in the summer for lunch by all the public servants and other office workers.

Handy benches! xx

It’s always nice to come across a bench when you’re in need of a rest. It’s a pity those ones have been moved out of the shade into the middle of the path.

It is! Yes people were quite annoyed about those benches being moved – not sure if they will be moved back.

I love this bench challenge. And I love a good placement of a bench. They’ve saved my feet on multiple occasions. 🙂

As someone with creaky knees, I am always grateful for benches. The ones under the awning look particularly inviting.

The ones under the awning are always full at lunch times on sunny days.

Yes, to exploring the beauty of simplicity one comfortable seat at a time! Think of the stories each of these benches could tell!

Oh I know! I love the benches that are dedicated to people – must do a tour of the ones in the Botanic Gardens again.
