Silent Sunday: Paraparaumu Beach

Today we drove up the coast to Paraparaumu and went for a walk on the beach. It was wonderful to smell the sea and take note of what was around.

Going on to the beach…

Spotted on the sand…

And the blue water…

    1. I know what you mean – interesting finds though. The seagull you can just see had found something, but when he saw me watching, he moved away from it, then went back when he thought I wasn’t looking – quite funny! Wonder what it was….

  1. Hi Barbara, as soon as I saw the title of your post it screamed New Zealand to me! lol Those long names that are hard to pronounce. Paraparaumu Beach looks gorgeous. Great photos! I’ve never seen fish fossels along a beach before. I’ve been craving the beach a lot lately. I love looking at them, listening to them, walking along them etc. I’ve booked a week away up at the Sunshine Coast here in Qld so it’s good to have that to look forward to. Thanks for linking up with #WWWhimsy ! xo

    1. Hi Min – Paraparaumu isn’t that far from the city so a great place to see the sea. I have to say it was the first time I had seen such ‘preserved’ fish fossils as well – quite intriguing. Enjoy your week at the Sunshine Coast when it comes.
