Six on Saturday 12.08.23 (or the hellebore edition)

As we creep towards our move, things are a bit chaotic as you can imagine (especially as we have things in the diary which were planned before we knew we were moving). We have had some really cold weather this week, but no frost where we live at least. There has been snow on the hills and we have been keeping well wrapped up, indoors and out.

So with all that is going on, this week is a focus on hellebores…some from our garden and some from the Botanic Gardens. I hope to return to normal service next week for probably my last SoS for a few weeks. Anyway, thanks to Jim at Garden Ruminations, for hosting Six on Saturday, whose knowledge of all things plants and gardening makes him an ideal host and move on to what can be see at the moment outside.

The featured image at the top of the post is at least from our garden as are the two below.

These dark purple ones are in the gardens next to the duck pond.

And white ones….

And more pink…

As usual, I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s beautiful gardens in other parts of the world. Hope you are all well and enjoying your gardens in whatever the season is with you.

  1. I still have a white hellebore in flower! They were weirdly late this year, but still… Anyway good luck with the move, I hope the decluttering is going well.

  2. They are all gorgeous! I just ordered a variety of spring bulbs for autumn planting, mostly tulips and different types of daffodils. Wonderful photos in your post!
