Would you believe it is another wet Saturday? The rain is pouring down, and it is most definitely a day to be indoors. I have a lot of things to do outdoors, not least sweet up all the petals and generally tidy up. Yesterday, of course, was sunny, and next week the weather promises to be good, but not today. So instead I am going to share with you some of the flowers I saw walking home yesterday.
Iris by the duck pond…
..and some ducks…
Amaryllis
I popped into the Begonia House in the Lady Norwood Rose Garden area of the Botanic Gardens on the way home, and found some amazing amaryllis blooms on display.
Water lilies
Also spotted, were these water lilies, which I just love. I think these purple ones were my favourite.
Rhododendron
And outside on Saturday
Thanks to The Propagator for starting Six on Saturday. Let’s hope the weather is much better next weekend.

Don’t those water lily pads make an interesting shape on the water along with the fence reflections, if that is what they are.

Yes quite lovely. I think the lines on the water are actually a reflection of the roof.

The leaves of the water lily seem to be floating in formation. Great six. I’d have felt cheated if there hadn’t been a picture of ducks at the duck pond!
