Something I’ve never really written about in the blog, is my love of things miniature and dolls’ houses. I guess it is partly as I don’t spend a huge time on this at the moment in my life, but the other day, with Christmas approaching, I dug out some of the old miniature Christmas trees.
I still have a dolls’ house my father made for me, with a mix of furniture from the Swedish company Lundby, some 1960s pieces from Dol-toi, things made by my dad and other family members and other items collected over time.

The three little trees in the featured image are all really old. I think the tiny one on the left may even come from the 1950s. The other two are from the 1960s. The presents were made by me, and yes, the tree stand is a cotton reel.
So…there we have it…a miniature Christmas!

Adorable! I love miniatures and was pretty obsessed with them as a kid. I made all sorts of tiny things out of clay in particular, and built little towns out of shoe boxes to play out elaborate stories. Thanks for bringing back those happy memories. 🙂
