Welcome to Thistles and Kiwis Blogmas 2017! Being in the Southern Hemisphere, Christmas is in the summer, so no big reindeer sweaters, candles and hot chocolate for us. It is a season for t-shirts, sitting in the sun and cold beers. The cherry sellers are out, the roses are in bloom and the first cicadas are singing their song.
So don’t expect pictures of cosy fireplaces or snow for Blogmas from Thistles and Kiwis. The weather has been really good the past couple of weeks, and the ground is already getting a bit dry. Even so, it has been time to get out and enjoy the flowers of the season, such as the roses in the Lady Norwood Rose Garden.
So what is coming up this Blogmas? I’ll continue the weekly small pleasures posts, and will no doubt feature food quite a bit. Anyway, let me know if you are doing Blogmas so I can follow your posts too.
