So here we are, with a round up of small pleasures from the week past. I guess my last post covered a lot of them, but here are a few more. Of course, it was my birthday this week, so it was not hard to get going on Monday (but Tuesday…a different matter altogether!).
A date scone
I stopped at Ekor Book Cafe again for a cup of tea, and as a special treat, a warm date scone, dripping with butter. I’m sure this helped me through the Pilates class that followed….

This week’s food shopping
In this week’s bag was some cavolo negro for a leafy green, oranges, red onions, garlic, some pomegranate seeds to mix with Israeli couscous, Italian parsley, pecans, Garage Project beer and some wood roasted salmon to make fish cakes from The Forest Cantina Home.

This week’s flowers

A cup of coffee and a square of chocolate
I have my weekly cup of Immigrant Son’s coffee on a Saturday, and this week had a square of Hogarth’s Conacado dark chocolate (75%) with it. Lovely.

Thanks to Mani at A New Life Wandering for the original idea. Check out Middle Europe and Tiny Obsessions as well.
You can find Thistles and Kiwis on Facebook, and also on Instagram @blof678. As for Twitter….am totally inactive these days. If you want to get in touch, email me on thistlesandkiwis@gmail.com.
Wow what a beautiful place to live!
