So here we are with my first Cee’s Challenge of this year. I was on holiday in week 1 and busy catching up on holiday posts in week 2, but a back again this week. Thanks again Cee!
What is your favorite piece of art? (it doesn’t have to be famous)
Impossible to answer! Some pieces are just beautiful, some have a sentimental value, some are striking and impossible to forget. I have two watercolours painted by my mother which I love because they are painted by her. “The Wounded Angel” is a striking picture by Hugo Simberg, I’ve seen several times in Helsinki. It’s a picture that doesn’t leave your head once seen.

What made you smile today?
Walking to work through the Botanic Gardens always makes me smile.

Which place do you recommend as a Must-See? Please state which country, state or province.
Oh gosh! Another impossible question. Ohrid in Macedonia, Paris, my home town of Edinburgh…almost anywhere beside the sea. And of course lots of places in New Zealand.
New Caledonia, where we were this time last year
Lake Ferry, Waiarapa, New Zealand
Complete this sentence: When I was younger I used to….
….sing in a choir. I haven’t done for years.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week,
A lovely, lazy, catch-up sort of Saturday.
and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Monday is the Wellington Anniversary weekend holiday, so a short week at work next week and a long weekend before it.

New Caledonia is on my list actually.
