It has been a while since I did a SoS post. There hasn’t been a lot to report, I have totally neglected the garden due to other things, not even getting around to setting up the little bed area to put in some interesting things. I am hoping to get a bit of time out there during the forthcoming summer holidays. Anyway, thanks to Jim at Garden Ruminations, for hosting Six on Saturday, whose knowledge of all things plants and gardening makes him an ideal host.
First up, a few of the nasturtiums I planted have popped up. Regular readers will know how much I love these flowers.

Since we moved here, the rosemary plant has shot up and really needs repotting and finding a new place. A job for the summer!

The lavenders are doing fine, though I do need to consider if the placing is right for the forthcoming sunnier days. Still, it is lovely to smell the blooms.

The curry plant is flowering, as is the lemon verbena (which earlier this year I thought would never revive). I must gather the leaves for something.

The variegated sage is also doing well, and also being used in the kitchen. The tarragon is looking OK and I used a whole bunch cooking chicken last week.

Finally, flowers on the pineapple sage – on Wednesday and today.

Do you use the lemon verbena flowers? Do you pinch them out to encourage new stems to grow?
Lovely nasturtiums. Soon capers !

No I haven’t used the flowers – I should check that out. Last year with moving I didn’t do anything with the lemon verbena but should do this year. Yes! Capers!

All is looking healthy and happy and I am enjoying seeing the sunshine in your photos. Thanks from a very gloomy UK!

I could do with some more flowers out there though.

These are some of my favorites as well, particularly nasturtiums. My dad used to call them nasty urchins. 😂

It is great to see your plants thriving on benign neglect.

I think sometimes they prefer it that way 🙂

All looks good. My pineapple sage is no more. 😥

Oh no! They really hate too much sun and getting too dry. I’ve had to move mine to a more shady bit.

It was the wet that did the damage. I left them outside, but although one plant attempted to make a come back, it died when the first storm came.

You will just have to get a new one…..

Great to be reminded what summer can look like for those of us in the northern hemisphere. I love nasturtiums too!

I enjoyed seeing all that you have growing and I can smell the lavender from here.

Not a bad result for someone who has done nothing. 🙂
