It has been a month since I have done a SoS post, and although there isn’t a lot to report, just thought I would show you how things are so far this winter. Anyway, thanks to Jim at Garden Ruminations, for hosting Six on Saturday, whose knowledge of all things plants and gardening makes him an ideal host and move on to what can be see at the moment outside.
So our weather has been a bit mixed – some days of glorious winter sun, some very cold, crisp mornings, and on Friday, lots and lots of rain. I spotted this yellow mushroom/fungi early this morning. It really isn’t the most pretty thing, but interesting anyway.

I loved seeing the raindrops nestling in the echeveria this morning – not sure if you can see them or not. These were established plants.

The hebes are all thriving and doing well even in the cold weather.

In a corner of the harden is this clematis, which is slowly creeping up the fence. I’ll need to sort out where it is heading as we don’t want it clinging to the hot water system. Let’s see.

And so to herb corner….the rosemary is really enjoying its new location, the recently purchased thyme (my third plant) and curry plant have settled in well and the pineapple sage (below and the featured image) is showing signs of flowers already.

Finally…the bulbs I planted early are continuing to grow. Fingers crossed!

Good idea for the clematis. What colour it is if you know?

Yes, I can see the raindrops on the echeveria – and very nice they look too.

Your pineapple sage is looking very healthy, unfortunately I left mine outside this winter and it hasn’t liked all the rain. Not quite dead, but slow to put on any growth. I may need to buy another one, along with the thymes that also died.

My old pineapple sage frizzled in the sun in the summer, so will take care of this one. Do get another one as they smell lovely.

Your garden do look very neat and organised. I like the mix of different plants that you’ve chosen. I truly love seeing other peoples garden.

Thanks! I haven’t shown all the bits where the blackbirds have had a good search for worms!

Your Pineapple sage is looking healthy, and your bulbs coming up, always nice to have some plants growing in winter.

The herb garden is looking great – totally unlike mine in winter 🙂

I still can’t get used to the mild winters even after all this time.
