We are still not back at home after last week’s incident, though we heard that at least the slip should be clear today, and possibly water and gas restored on Tuesday (Monday is a public holiday here). It is all very stressful as you can imagine, staying in a hotel and now a temporary flat. Anyway, as we are off to Europe soon, I won’t be posting in SoS until the start of July, so just stopping by to wish you all well and if we visit any nice gardens, will let you know!
I spotted this rather nice hawthorn near our temporary apartment.

Thanks to Jim at Garden Ruminations, for hosting Six on Saturday, whose knowledge of all things plants and gardening makes him an ideal host and move on to what can be see at the moment outside.
As usual, I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s beautiful gardens in other parts of the world. Hope you are all well and enjoying your gardens in whatever the season is with you.

It is a week before we leave and I am waiting in anticipation for our passports with visas to arrive! I hope you will both enjoy your time in Europe and that all will be well on your return.

That is a very unusual hawthorn… very pretty though…

It is Rhaphiolepis indica, the Indian hawthorn – not the same as the native hawthorn in the UK. (I had to look it up!)

Unfortunately, I don’t suppose it would be happy here in UK…

Sounds very, very promising about going back to your home. Bon voyage and fingers crossed that when you come back, you will be in your own smug home.

That all sounds fairly positive Barbara. It could mean the start of the trip doesn’t feel so stressful. I will find you on Instagram and follow your trip that way. Take care. Bernie
