So here we are again…a round up of a few of the small pleasures from this past week. It wasn’t a particularly exciting week, but one of gentle routines like my daily walk to work.
Saturday afternoon
After Pilates and food shopping, a lovely relaxing afternoon followed, with tea (sakura green rose from t Leaf T made with this cute and really useful tea maker from Alessi). I also made an excellent apple and feijoa crumble for dessert, with a topping of rye flour and oats.

Sunday afternoon
It was a lovely sunny day on Sunday. A walk to town, lunch, a good browse in the second hand book shop, Arty Bee’s Books, made for a good start to the afternoon. I then headed to College Street, to have a look at the new Kowtow flagship store, a beautiful, minimalist store full of the brand’s ethically sourced and sustainable clothing (check out further details over at The Residents). A quick stop at Moore Wilson’s and Commonsense Organics for some forgotten things, and then off for a massage. A great afternoon.

Food
From dinner at one of our local pubs on Thursday, to a tabbouleh with a topping of halloumi, to the crumble mentioned above, it was a week with some good food. I made (a slightly adapted) baked pork bolognese for Sunday dinner from Dish magazine, which was so full of flavour and even better on Monday. I topped it with some sage leaves fried in a little butter, for that extra bit of flavour.
