So here we are again, Monday evening in New Zealand, and time to reflect on this week’s small pleasures. It’s been a damp and misty day (very reminiscent of our days in Scotland…), so time to wrap up warm and look forward to a steaming cottage pie for dinner.
Skies
There have been some lovely autumn sunrises and sunsets, such as this early morning sky below.

The weekend
Our trip to Europe left me exhausted. It really took a full week to get over the travels, and my back is still far from being 100%, despite two visits to the osteopath, a massage and Pilates. So it was nice to have a ‘nothing’ weekend, with no plans, but just a chance to drink tea, read, turn on Netflix and generally relax. Having said that, I did get a big pile of ironing done too (despite Charlie…see below)!
Footnote – my chiropractor worked wonders this morning!

Tea
And on the subject of tea, my current favourite, perfect for a wet Sunday afternoon is t leaf T’s chai. It is full of flavour, coming from star anise, cardamom pods and other spices. The spoon is a hand forged one I picked up at Città.
