So here we are again with this week’s small pleasures. I’ve been having some technical problems with Thistles and Kiwis, which seem to have sorted themselves out (I hope!), but anyway, here we go with those little things that make us smile and brighten up our days.
Ducks
The ducks in the Botanic Gardens came to say hello the other day. It’s always fun to see them wandering about taking an early morning stroll.

Flowers
The Japanese anemones are flowering by the house (see featured image at the top of the post), and I picked up these flowers to brighten up indoors.

Plums
There are still loads of beautiful plums around – so difficult to resist.

Sunday desert
Blackberries and this salted caramel chocolate, 70% cacao from Ocho – an excellent combination.

Some good salads
I picked up some red witloof (radiccio) and made a salad with pear, walnut and a tahini and lemon dressing. So good!

A new lipstick
Marimekko packaging, Clinique lipstick….thanks to The Residents’ post, I picked up this little beauty today in Punch Pop.

So that’s it…what were your small pleasures this week?
Thanks to Mani over at A New Life Wandering for the original idea.
You can find Thistles and Kiwis on Facebook, and also on Instagram@thistleandkiwis. As for Twitter….am totally inactive these days. If you want to get in touch, email me on thistlesandkiwis@gmail.com
I really enjoy these post as they remind me we can find pleasure in even the smallest thing. Thank you for sharing.
