If stress levels weren’t already running high enough what with one thing and another, poor Charlie fell sick this week. He was sneezing and wheezing, so we took him to the vet who diagnosed cat flu, no doubt brought on by the stress of being shut up in the empty flat last week. All he wants is cuddles and to stay close by. Luckily he is up to date with his vaccinations so we hope he will get well soon.
My attempt at blog writing this afternoon were foiled, as you can see by the featured image above. So instead, I popped outside and replanted the lavender we bought, did some weeding and tidying up, checked on the capsicum plant and admired the giant foxgloves by the house.

And that ladies and gentlemen was my Saturday afternoon…a bit of pottering, a bit of reading and a bit of spending time with Charlie. As the writer Colette said “Time spent with a cat is never wasted.” I couldn’t agree more.
It’s the one thing I really miss being in Portugal – my cat. One day I’ll be organised enough so he can join us
Hope Charlie is back to usual self soon.
