We arrived safe and sound in lovely, sunny Paihia on Wednesday afternoon. Our apartment was 2 minutes drive from the centre, and situated up a (steepish) hill overlooking the water.

We had dinner at a place called Sauce, that serves craft beer and custom pizza. You can ‘make your own’ toppings, or pick one from the menu. The pizzas were nice and thin and crispy and the toppings generous. The rest of the evening was spent on the terrace looking out at the sunset.
