A wedding anniversary, a cat and some more rain

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary, and we will celebrate later with a little glass of something and hopefully some cake from my baking class.  We got married at Frederiksberg Town Hall on a lovely sunny day, and celebrated with family and close friends.  It is hard to believe it was nine years ago.

On baking, I sincerely hope we get the recipes for the things we have made today, as I did promise a few weeks ago to put the apricot tart one on the blog, never mind being able to practice profiteroles until I become a master of the art.

Tin and apron at the ready

At the moment, the rain is pouring down, but I am nice and cosy indoors at home, drinking tea, eating soup for lunch, and with Misse Moj for company.  Oh and of course, BBC Radio 4 Extra and a two part adaptation of ‘Three Men in a Boat’ which is just the thing for a day like today.

Anyway, I will soon have to go out in the rain myself.  It really looks most unpleasant with light rain blowing horizontally.  Mind you, we have been lucky here as the brunt of the sub-tropical storm hit the north of North Island this time instead of us.

I won’t say anything about the America’s Cup.  It is just too tense a situation, standing at 8 races all as I type.
