It has been nice to have a long weekend to relax and do some nice things. Yesterday (Saturday) we drove up the Kapiti Coast to Paraparaumu to visit Karl’s colleague Michael, who has just moved there. We went for a good walk, ate a nice lunch, and got to see his new house with big garden. So here are 6 things from the past couple of days.
I found a lime tree in Michael’s garden
Fruits from the garden – limes and an unripe feijoa
Paraparaumu beach
Paraparaumu beach with South Island in the far distance
Today, Easter Sunday, we went to a garden centre…yes really…and bought some bulbs, a couple of indoor plants and a small rosemary plant.
New rosemary, borage beginning to grow, mint and some rather sorry looking lavender
We then drove round to Island Bay, along the really pretty coastal road. It was raining pretty heavily, though as we really need it, it was actually welcome. The sun has now come out again now we are home, so we may well go for a stroll later. Finally, no 6…
The Easter Bunny delivered an egg…an iconic Kiwi one too!

I’m intrigued by the Easter egg. Are the “pineapple lumps” boiled sweets like cola cubes? Hope you enjoyed them anyway! X

It was Anton’s egg not mine.
